Welcome to project “rOLe models”!
In this project we aim to encourage future scientists through the presentation of role models. We introduce you female scientists and members of other underrepresented groups in Academia, who share their career paths, experiences, advices and current research.
This is a project by faculty V’s (school of Mathematics and Science) equal opportunity office at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg and has started as an instagram channel. Since not everyone has or wants to use instagram, we will to publish the posts on this blog as well.
Some posts are in English and some are in German.

Willkommen beim Projekt “rOLe models”!
In diesem Projekt möchten für durch das Präsentieren von “role models” Anreize für künftige Wissenschaftler*innen schaffen. Wir stellen verschiedenen (Natur-)wissenschaftlerinnen und andere oft unterrepräsentierte Menschen aus der Wissenschaft vor. Diese teilen ihren beruflichen Werdegang, Erfahrunge, Tipps und ihre aktuellen Forschungsthemen.
Dies ist ein Projekt des Gleichstellungsbüros der Fakultät V für Mathematik und Naturwissenschaften der Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg und begann zunächst mit einem Intsagram-Kanal. Da nicht jede*r Instagram hat bzw. nutzen möchten, werden wir die Posts nun auch auf diesem Blog veröffentlichen.
Manche der Posts sind auf Englisch und manche auf Deutsch.
